What is the passing score on the HESI?

The minimum required score to pass the HESI will vary from program to program. Many schools set their minimum required scores in the 65%-80% range.  For the most accurate information, refer to your preferred programs admission requirements. 

What subjects are on the HESI? 

The HESI is comprised of 8 sections including math, vocabulary, reading comprehension, grammar, physics, biology, chemistry, and anatomy & physiology. However, not all programs require applicants to take all 8 sections of the HESI. 

How many questions are on the HESI exam?

In total, the HESI exam is made up of 297 questions. There are 50 questions in the math, vocabulary, and grammar sections. There are 47 questions on the reading comprehension section. Lastly, there are 25 questions each on the biology, chemistry, and anatomy & physiology section.
