IS the GED the same as a high school diploma?
The GED (General Educational Development) is a high school equivalency diploma, it is equal to a high school diploma. The GED is accepted in universities, colleges, and career technical programs.
How long do I have for each section of the GED?
The entire GED test takes about 7.5 hours. The math section is 115 minutes long. Language Arts is 150 minutes, including the written essay portion. Social studies is allotted 70 minutes. The science section is granted 90 minutes.
